5-Month-Old's Death Was a Homicide

An autopsy Thursday determined a 5-month-old South Side boy who died Tuesday morning was beaten to death.

Kamereon Foster, of the 7000 block of S. Wolcott Ave., died Tuesday morning.

Following "substantiated" allegations of neglect last year, Foster was placed into the custody of a relative, Department of Child and Family Services spokesman Kendall Marlow said.

One of the boy's siblings has been removed from the South Side home and placed with a foster family.

Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
