Eddie Vedder Singing 7th-Inning Stretch at Game 5

Eddie Vedder will sing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during Game 5 of the World Series Sunday night at Wrigley Field, the Cubs announced.

The Pearl Jam frontman, an Evanston native and notorious Cubs fan, has been a fixture of the playoffs, seen in the stands beside actor John Cusack and said to have attended the celebration party at Jon Lester’s house when the team clinched their first World Series berth in 71 years.

Vedder will aim to keep hope alive Sunday at the Friendly Confines after a tough couple losses against the Indians.

Ryne Sandberg, Hall of Famer and former Cub, will throw out the opening pitch, according to the Cubs.

Wayne Messmer will perform "God Bless America" and the national anthem.

Vedder's openers the past couple days will be tough acts to follow.

Bill Murray sang an epic rendition of the seventh inning stretch on Friday, and comedian Vince Vaughn took the mic on Saturday night for Game 4.
