Dog Found Roaming Kennedy Expressway May be Up for Adoption

Animal darted around vehicles on the Interstate on Monday

A dog found roaming the Kennedy Expressway was in stable condition Tuesday, a day after being lassoed by authorities.

A Chicago Animal Care & Control spokesperson said no one has come forward to claim the dog, a female Shepard mix, that was captured along Interstate 90/94/190 near West Diversey Avenue.

If no one claims the dog in the next few days, she'll be put up for adoption, spokesman Brad Powers said.

Nearly three years ago, another dog loose on the Eisenhower Expressway added drama to an April morning commute.
