A woman died after she rolled her vehicle and crashed into a concrete barrier Friday morning in northwest suburban Des Plaines.
Gabriele Barnes, 57, was traveling east on Touhy Avenue between Mount Prospect and Wolf roads about 6:08 a.m. when she went off the road and rolled the 2011 Mitsubishi she was driving, striking a concrete barrier, police said.
She was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge where she died.
Barnes, of the 100 block of North Wood Dale Road in Wood Dale, was pronounced dead at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital at 6:54 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Police do not know what caused Barnes to drive off the road and the crash is under investigation.
