Those who live near the 2900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue say homeless people frequently hang out in the area. Regina Waldroup reports.

A man who died in an alley on Chicago's north side may have been hit by a car, police said.

The man -- thought to be in his 50s -- was found near the 2900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue just before midnight. He was pronounced dead at the scene minutes later, an official from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.

The alley is extremely dark with unique angles. Police said the man's injuries indicate a vehicle may have ran him over and kept on going.

The man's identity or a description of a vehicle was not released as of 6:30 a.m. but the department's Major Accidents Investigation Unit was investigating.
