After scoring zero runs on Tuesday night in Game 1 of the World Series, the Chicago Cubs are looking to make a few changes to their lineup as they try to tie up their series against the Cleveland Indians.

One change that will take place for sure is adding Jorge Soler to the mix, as he will be a starter on Wednesday night in Game 2 of the series. With his right-handed power bat, Joe Maddon is looking to put even more pressure on Indians starter Trevor Bauer, who will be trying to defend home field for the Indians after they got the series started out with a 6-0 win in Game 1.

Jake Arrieta is on the mound for the Cubs, and while his preference would be to have Miguel Montero catch him, there are two good reasons why Contreras is the guy. First and foremost, Contreras is a much better hitter than Montero, and he has continued to excel in limited at-bats during the postseason.

Secondly, Contreras has a much better arm than Montero does, and he will be better suited to holding the Indians’ running game in check. Arrieta isn’t the best pitcher in the world at holding runners on base, and that is where Contreras’ cannon arm could come in handy.

First pitch was moved up to 6:08 p.m. with rain in the forecast in Cleveland, and the game will air on Fox.
