Cubs Reveal Game 4 Lineup vs. Dodgers

Down 2-1 in the National League Championship Series, the Chicago Cubs are going to have to get their bats going if they’re going to come back and tie things up with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night.

The Cubs’ offense has gone completely silent over the last two games, suffering back-to-back shutouts and really only getting offensive production from one source, as Kris Bryant registered two hits in Tuesday’s Game 3 loss.

Cubs manager Joe Maddon tried to shake up his lineup on Tuesday to get some offense going, but nothing seemed to work as Rich Hill steamrolled the Cubs through six shutout innings of work. Jorge Soler was inserted into the lineup to help provide some more pop, but he had a rough night at the plate as he joined a long list of Cubs who are mired in an ill-timed slump.

With all of that in mind, here is how the Cubs will line up when they face the Dodgers and try to tie up the best-of-seven series:

1 Dexter Fowler – CF

2 Kris Bryant – 3B

3 Anthony Rizzo – 1B

4 Ben Zobrist – LF

5 Javier Baez - 2B

6 Willson Contreras - C

7 Jason Heyward - RF

8 Addison Russell - SS

9 John Lackey - P

Russell will continue to find a spot in the lineup despite his horrendous postseason stats thus far, but he's dropped all the way to eighth in the Cubs' lineup for Wednesday's game. Heyward also finds his way back into the mix after sitting out Tuessday's game, but he'll have to figure out how to hit left-handed pitching as he faces Julio Urias.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:08 p.m., and the game can be seen on FS1.
