The Chicago Cubs finished their road trip in style on Sunday night, beating the Pittsburgh Pirates in the Little League Classic in Williamsport.
Anthony Rizzo hit his 23rd home run of the season and reached base in all five plate appearances in the game, driving in a pair of runs in the process. Kyle Schwarber drove in two runs, and Jason Heyward and Nicholas Castellanos each launched long balls in the victory.
José Quintana pitched seven shutout innings for the Cubs, striking out seven batters while scattering five hits in the victory. Craig Kimbrel, activated from the injured list on Sunday, gave up a home run to Starling Marte on the first pitch he threw and notched two strikeouts in two-thirds of an inning.
The Cubs wasted no time in getting on the board in the game, with Castellanos poking a home run over the left field wall in the first inning to put the Cubs up 1-0. Heyward hit a solo home run of his own in the third inning to extend the lead to two, and Schwarber looped an RBI single to left field in the fourth, scoring two runs and giving the Cubs a 4-0 edge.

The Cubs added three more runs in the fifth, with Kris Bryant smacking an RBI double to left field and Rizzo hammering an opposite-field home run off the scoreboard to make it a 7-0 game.
That’s all the Cubs and Quintana would need as they won their second straight game to finish off a 4-6 road trip.
