The Chicago White Sox have made a roster move prior to Wednesday’s game against the Cubs, placing left-handed pitcher Manny Bañuelos on the 10-day injured list.
Bañuelos has started eight games for the White Sox this season and appeared in 13 total, posting a 6.90 ERA and a 3-4 record in those games. He is battling left shoulder inflammation, and his injured list stint is retroactive to June 16, according to the team.
The White Sox, in a corresponding roster move, have recalled pitcher Carson Fulmer from Triple-A Charlotte. Fulmer is 1-0 with a 3.97 ERA with the Charlotte Knights this season, but has struggled with the White Sox, posting a 6.97 ERA in eight relief appearances with the South Siders.
The White Sox and Cubs will square off in the second game of a two-game set at Wrigley Field on Wednesday night, with first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
