Chicago White Sox Prospect Michael Kopech to Make MLB Debut

Chicago White Sox fans haven't had a lot to cheer about this season, but on Tuesday, their patience will be rewarded as one of their top prospects will make his big league debut.

The White Sox announced Sunday that they will call up pitcher Michael Kopech, and that he will make his debut against the Minnesota Twins at Guaranteed Rate Field Tuesday.

Kopech, the number two prospect in the White Sox system and the 13th overall prospect in all of baseball according to MLB Pipeline, has a 7-7 record and a 3.70 ERA in 24 starts with the Triple-A Charlotte Knights this season.

The White Sox acquired Kopech in the 2016 trade that sent pitcher Chris Sale to the Boston Red Sox.
