    There's another call to end gun violence after shootings take the lives of a man outside a gas station and a teen in a bedroom. NBC Chicago's Lauren Petty filed this report at 5 a.m. on July 24, 2014.

    A 16-year-old Chicago boy died late Wednesday when a bullet went through a bedroom window and struck him in the neck, police said.

    Darren Foggey was shot about 9:25 p.m. in the 6900 block of South Artesian Avenue, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. He was in a bedroom when a bullet came through the first floor window, police said.

    Foggey, who lived about a block away, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:40 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said.A police source said the teen was gang affiliated.
