Man Shot in Head, Killed Outside Gas Station

Victim was shot multiple times in his head and body, police said

A man died early Thursday morning after being shot in the head outside a gas station in Chicago's south side West Pullman neighborhood, police said.

The man, who is in his 20s, was walking in the 11600 block of South Michigan Avenue about 3:15 a.m. when a male approached on foot and fired multiple shots, police said.

The man was shot multiple times in his head and body, police said.

The victim, whose name was not publicly released as of 5:30 a.m., was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:24 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

The shooter ran off and was not in custody as of 5:30 a.m.
