Four Hurt in Shooting Outside Goose Island Night Club

A man was shot inside the same nightclub back in April

Four people were shot early Wednesday near a night club in Chicago's near north side Goose Island neighborhood.

Police received a call at about 3:40 a.m. of shots fired near Hearts Night Club, on the 1100 block of North North Branch Street, Officer Hector Alfaro said.

"At first it was just one gun and then it sounded like it was a second gun, but it was like around like eight to 13 gunshots," said witness Violet Morales.

Authorities intially said three people were injured in the shooting. Two men thought to be in their 30s were found shot in the parking lot. One was shot in the leg and groin area, and the other was shot in the chest and back, Alfaro said. They were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

A third man, also in his 30s, showed up at Rush University Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg, and he was transferred to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Alfaro said. His condition was not immediately known.

A fourth man later walked into Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to his right arm, police said.

The shooting happened during a party for the Rapper Jeezy, witnesses said.
