As many as 20 students at the Chicago Military Academy were affected by pepper spray that was released Monday morning inside a classroom, officials said.

One person was in custody as of midday after the spray was released at the Bronzeville campus, at 3519 S. Giles Ave.

Several ambulances were dispatched to the school, but none of the injuries appeared to be serious, officials said.
