Chicago Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting Teen at Suburban Forest Preserve

A Chicago man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy in a west suburban forest preserve on Sunday, according to the Cook County Sheriff's office.

Armando Robles, 46, was charged with one count of criminal sexual assault and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, the sheriff's office said in a statement on Thursday.

Sometime between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, Robles approached the boy near the pool at the Cermak Woods forest preserve in the 7600 block of Ogden Avenue in west suburban Lyons, authorities said.

The victim told investigators that he did not know the offender, but that he told the boy he was armed, forced him to drink alcohol and then sexually assaulted him.

Robles, of the 6400 block of Hamlin Avenue in Chicago, was ordered held on a $500,000 bond during a hearing Thursday at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
