Man Jumps Out Window in South Side Fire

Fire broke out at three-story building on the 8200 block of South Ingleside Avenue

    A fire at a three-story building sent one male who jumped out of a window to the hospital early Thursday in the South Side Chatham neighborhood.

    The fire started about 1:40 a.m. at a three-story building on the 8200 block of South Ingleside Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro, citing preliminary information.

    A 55-year-old who jumped from one of the building’s windows was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.

    There were no other injuries or displacements from the fire, Alfaro said.
