Burglars may have taken several hundred thousand dollars worth of merchandise from a Gold Coast luxury retail store early Friday morning.
Chicago police responded to a break-in at the Saint Laurent Paris store at 11 E. Walton St. shortly before 3 a.m., police said.
The store’s display window was broken with a baseball bat and several items -- handbags, shoes and jewelry -- were taken. Police said the items were valued at several hundred thousands of dollars.
It's believed multiple people were involved.
The store’s security alarm was activated security footage was recovered, police said.
No one was in custody as of 5 a.m.
