The Chicago Bears didn't score a single point in the second half, but thanks to Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen, they still managed to pull off a 23-17 overtime win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon.
The two running backs combined for 216 yards of rushing, and Howard finished off the overtime drive with a 19-yard touchdown run to give the Bears their first victory of the season.
Ben Roethlisberger threw for 235 yards and a touchdown, and Le'Veon Bell had 61 rushing yards and a touchdown, but it wasn't enough as the Bears handed the Steelers their first loss of the season.
The Bears seized their first lead of the season in the first quarter, as Eli Rogers muffed a punt and allowed Chicago to set up shop at the 29-yard line. After a six play drive, Howard punched the ball in from three yards out to give the Bears a 7-0 lead.
After Antonio Brown caught a touchdown pass to tie the game at 7-7 in the second quarter, the Bears stormed back down the field and got a touchdown reception from Adam Shaheen with just 43 seconds left to make it 14-7 just before half.
It appeared the Bears were going to take a 21-7 lead at the end of the half after Marcus Cooper picked up a blocked field goal, but the young defensive back inexplicably stopped running before reaching the end zone, and the ball was knocked out of his hands.
Connor Barth did end up making a short field goal on an untimed down, giving the Bears a 17-7 halftime lead.

The Steelers tied the game thanks to a Bell touchdown run in the third quarter and a Chris Boswell field goal with eight minutes remaining in the game, but the Bears were able to get their act together and got the ball first in overtime.
Tarik Cohen nearly won the game with a 73-yard touchdown run in the extra session, but he had been ruled to have stepped out near midfield.
Undeterred, Howard bulldozed his way into the end zone from 19 yards out to finish off the game and the victory.
The Bears will take their 1-2 record to Green Bay on Thursday night to take on the Packers at Lambeau Field. The game will air at 7:25 p.m. on NFL Network and CBS.
