A company behind a wildly popular card game is teaming up with a charity in an effort to push for marijuana legalization in the state of Illinois.
Cards Against Humanity recently released its “Weed Pack,” which features 30 new cards and is currently for sale on the company’s website. On Thursday, the company revealed that it would partner with the Marijuana Policy Project as part of a push to legalize and regulate recreational marijuana in Illinois.
As part of that partnership, the company donated $70,000 to the MPP on Thursday, according to a press release.
“We’re proud to support the Marijuana Policy Project because our current marijuana laws are failing,” Cards Against Humanity head writer Jo Feldman said in a statement. “Nationally there are more arrests for marijuana possession each year than for all violent crimes combined. The MPP has been at the forefront of changing marijuana laws for the better, in Illinois and nationwide.
“Also, I could really go for a bean chalupa,” Feldman added.
The company has also donated to numerous other organizations, including DonorsChoose, the Sunlight Foundation, and the Wikimedia Foundation.

The special edition pack is on sale for $5 on the company’s website.
The company has made some pretty serious waves in recent months, including trying to lure former President Barack Obama into becoming the company’s CEO and for threatening to buy and publish the browser history of every member of Congress as a protest against the potential rollback of net neutrality protections.
