A man eating dinner in his garden level apartment on Chicago's Northwest side got quite a scare but missed serious injury when a car came barreling into his living room.
The car almost completely entered the living of the apartment at Monitor and Montrose Thursday night.
"I just heard the big noise; I was at the house at this time," said neighbor Richard Otap. "The driver is fine; nothing happened to him. But the owner was kind of surprised (by the) visit suddenly for his supper."
Otap said the man in the apartment had slight injuries to his arm, likely due to shrapnel.
It's not clear why the driver lost control of the car and crashed into the apartment.
