A 6-year-old boy died Thursday morning after apparently drowning in a pool in southwest suburban Bridgeview.

Tristian Jeras, of the 7000 block of Garden Lane in Bridgeview, was pronounced dead at 10:20 a.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Bridgeview Acting Fire Chief Anthony Butuks told the Chicago Tribune that Jeras' parents called the police to report their son missing after they looked in his room to check on him and he was not there.

Jeras was found floating in a pool in the 6900 block of Garden Lane, the medical examiner’s office said.

Bridgeview police declined to comment Thursday night.
