A body was found at Oak Street Beach on Chicago's Near North Side on Tuesday, according to police.
Around 11:45 a.m., officials said a Chicago Police Marine Unit responded to a call of an object in the water.
There they discovered a decomposed body in the water, according to police.
Further information, including the age and gender of the body, was not immediately available.
The Marine Unit and detectives continue to investigate.
