Body Pulled from Chicago River

Identify of man recovered near Wells Street Bridge currently unknown

Police say a body was recovered from the Chicago River near the Wells Street bridge on Friday.

The body was taken out of the water near 222 N. Wells St. about noon, police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez said, citing preliminary information.

Police did not have information on the person’s gender or age.

The body is an unknown male in his 30s, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
