Two people died and several others were injured in a fire in unincorporated DuPage County.

The fire broke out just before about 2 p.m. in the 24W600 Lawrence block in the unincorporated area just south of Hanover Park.

A man and a woman died.  The woman had either jumped or fell from a second-floor window, a law enforcement source said, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

At least three others, including two children, were taken to hospitals, according to DuPage County Sheriff's office spokeswoman Dawn Domrose.

The Chicago Tribune puts the number of injured at four.

Authorities haven't confirmed whether the injured children were related to the adults.

Because the community is unincorporated, there are no fire hydrants.
