‘Art on theMART' Expands Riverfront Show to 7 Nights a Week

An incredible projection screen in downtown Chicago has been attracting tourists since it made its debut last year, but now residents and tourists will be treated to the show even more often.

The display, called “Art on theMART,” features a light and laser show projected on the side of the iconic downtown building. Currently the display rolls five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday, and the show begins 15 minutes after sunset, according to theMART’s website.

Beginning in mid-May, the show will run seven days a week, according to the organizers of the showcase. The expanded run of the show will begin on May 13, and will run through Sept. 29, according to organizers.

The “Art on theMART” showcase is part of the 2019 Year of Chicago Theatre, an effort launched by the League of Chicago Theaters and the city of Chicago.
