Authorities said Thursday night they'd made an arrest in the murders of five members of a central Illinois family.

At a news conference, Logan County Sheriff Steven Nichols said Christopher J. Harris, 30, had been arrested and charged with murder.

Police offered few other details.

The bodies of Rick and Ruth Gee, and their children -- Justina Constant, Dillen Constant and Austin Gee -- were discovered Sept. 21.  Police said earlier this week that they believed a "violent struggle took place" and the person or persons responsible were also likely injured.

The couple's 3-year-old daughter was the only survivor.  She continues to recover from injuries that were described as life-threatening.

Funeral services were held Monday.
