‘America's Got Talent' Hosts Auditions in Chicago

Hundreds of hopeful performers from all over the Midwest came to Chicago on Saturday with one goal - to make it onto 'America's Got Talent.'

The variety show held open call auditions for the upcoming 11th season at McCormick Place beginning at 6 a.m., according to the 'AGT' website. [[391454001, C]]

Some performers arrived as early as 4 a.m., lining up for their shot at being discovered. Producers anticipated around 4,000 entertainers to attend Saturday's event, and promised ahead of time that everyone would have their chance to impress.

"If we see something there that we think that the judges might like, we'll fly to LA in March and you'll perform in front of our judges," said executive producer Jason Raff.

Chicago is part of a 10-city search for contestants on 'AGT.' The the next stop in the journey is Austin, Texas.

Aspiring acrobats, thespians, ventriloquists and other talented folks who dream of showing off their skills can also submit video auditions online here.

The search is open to all types of acts and ages, according to the show's website.
