Your Odd-Shaped Cheeto Could be Worth $60,000

A new contest from Frito-Lay is looking for the “masterpiece” of Cheetos to be inducted into the Cheetos Museum

You might want to think twice before eating your next Cheeto – it could be worth up to $60,000.

A new contest from Frito-Lay is looking for the “masterpiece” of Cheetos to be inducted into the Cheetos Museum.

Contestants have until Aug. 15 to snap a photo of their most uniquely-shaped Cheeto and submit it to the museum along with a description of what it looks like.

Then, a panel of judges will rank the images on three criteria, including visual interest, buzz-worthy and creativity. The top 10 scorers will then receive $10,000 and the top four will advance on to a voting period, where fans will vote on their favorite.

The winner of the public voting, which will take place from Aug. 24-31, will also receive a $50,000 prize.

For those who can’t seem to find the magical Cheeto to submit, there are two other ways to earn a prize.

Ten wrapped “game pieces” will be randomly placed in Cheetos snacks depicting a landmark, animal, person or thing. Those who find the pieces will receive a trip for four to either New York City, Washington D.C., Miami, San Diego or Los Angeles.

Those who Tweet or Facebook an image of a Cheetos snack and register online will be entered for a chance to win a one-year supply of Cheetos.
