Wrigleyville Saloon to Transform Into “Christmas-Vacation'-Themed Bar For The Holidays

Houndstooth Saloon will transform itself into a pop-up bar inspired by "Christmas Vacation"

A Wrigleyville country bar will be going on a vacation of sorts in just a few weeks.

Houndstooth Saloon will transform itself into a pop-up bar on Nov. 17 called Griswold's, which was inspired by the iconic 1989 film National Lampoon's "Christmas Vacation."

The saloon's front bar will become "the Griswold family's living room in all its '80s glory," according to a news release. Other rooms included a tiki bar inspired by the infamous pool scene, and a space that will have a "Griswold attic-feel."

Along with themed beverages, visitors will be able enjoy an ‘80s-inspired “TV Dinner” featuring a turkey leg and Aunt Bethany’s Jell-O.

On the weekends, "Christmas Vacation" fans will also be able to take photos inside an RV that will be parked outside the bar. The bar also plans to have a "Christmas-Vacation"-themed New Year's Eve party.
