Wrigley Rooftop to Advertise United Airlines

As the Chicago Cubs prepare to lift off into the 2011 campaign, a new advertiser plans to land on one the iconic rooftops across the street from Wrigley Field.

The Cubs announced Monday that the rights to the rooftop advertisement currently owned by Horseshoe Casino were bought by United Airlines.

Prior to the Horseshoe Casino sign, the rooftop displayed a Budweiser logo for years.

The building is by a partnership of business owners including Max Waisvisz and Tom Gramatis.

The large rooftop ad is part of a three-year deal United Airlines made with the Cubs that includes naming rights to Wrigley Field's Stadium Club along the first-base line.
