Police are investigating a home invasion that took place early Saturday morning in southwest suburban Burbank.
A man entered a residence in the 8300 block of Laporte Avenue around 4:45 a.m., Burbank Police said in a community alert.
The victim told police she woke up to the man tugging on her shirt and pants. As she screamed, other residents in the home ran to her aid and saw the man running out of the home to a white van parked several houses away, the alert said.
The man entered the van on the driver’s side and fled eastbound on 84th Street from Laporte.
The man is described as a white male, between the ages of 30 and 35, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-10, and about 150-200 pounds, police said. He was wearing jean shorts and a dark-colored shirt.
There were no obvious signs of forced entry into the home, but officials said the front door to the residence may have been left unlocked.
The victim and occupants of the house were not injured in the incident, police said.
