An Aurora woman is suing a man that allegedly sexually assaulted her.
The woman met Thomas V. Januszewski, 31, of 3600 block of North Pontiac Drive in Norridge, on a dating website Plenty of Fish, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The lawsuit claims Januszewski spent the night and allegedly sexually assaulted her the next morning.
Januszewski is charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault and one count of criminal sexual assault. The woman is suing Januszewski in part because she said he didn't tell her he's a registered sex offender.
The $50,000 lawsuit is a three-count civil suit claiming intentional infliction of emotional distress, violations of the Illinois Gender Violence Act and battery.
Januszweski is due back in court on Monday.
