A woman died after she was struck by a Metra train at a station in north suburban Kenilworth Friday evening.
At about 6:45 p.m., Kenilworth police received a report of a pedestrian laying on the train platform at 400 Richmond Road. When they arrived on the scene, they found a deceased adult woman who appeared to have been struck by a train, police said.
The identity of the woman has not been confirmed, and the incident remains under investigation.
