A woman was found stabbed to death in a Pilsen neighborhood laundromat Thursday morning, police said.
The body of the 34-year-old woman, who worked at the laundromat, was found inside the Spin Cycle in 1700 block of West Cermak Road on the city's Lower West Side just before 8 a.m., according to police.
Witnesses say the woman was found with a knife still stuck in her head.
Chicago police, who believe the killing was domestic-related, are combing the scene for evidence.
Customers like Carlos Martinez said the victim, who was the mother of a 16-year-old, was at the laundromat almost every day.
“Yeah, now I am surprised, I look it says no service,” Martinez said. “I don’t know what happened. And you said they were good people inside? Yeah.”
Sam Sammur owns a convenience store in the same strip mall and said the woman would come in to buy soap and snacks for her children.
“She is a very hard working lady, work every day to support her family,” Sammur said. “I know she is a very kind and nice person and I feel sorry for her and her family.”

Sources close to the investigation said it may be focusing on the victim's ex-husband who they say had been stalking her. There was no order of protection.
