Woman Complains About Bar Tunes, Pulls Fire Alarm

Ran to another bar nearby

A St. Charles woman came under fire for pulling an alarm in a downtown Irish pub because she didn't like the music, reports the Kane County Chronicle.

Shona Lukes, 25, and one or two men she was with, was intoxicated at McNally's Irish Pub on Sunday when she started complaining about the traditional Irish music.

It's an Irish pub. What else were they expecting?

Lukes then pulled the fire alarm and ran with her acquaintance(s) out the back, witnesses said .

After police arrived, patrons at the Irish pub led the officers to nearby bar, where they found and identified Lukes, according to the Kane County Chronicle.

Lukes admitted to "bumping into" the alarm and pulling the handle, police said. She was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct.

Lukes was released Monday on $15,000 bail.

Perhaps she would have preferred the disco hit "Ring My Bell."
