Woman Accused of Stealing $144 Worth of Eye Makeup

Brandy Allen, 31, was arrested for shoplifting and disorderly conduct at the store, police said

An Arkansas woman is accused of stealing $144 worth of eye makeup this week from an Ulta Beauty store in a strip mall.

Brandy Allen, 31, was arrested for shoplifting and disorderly conduct at the store, police said.

A store employee called police Monday afternoon to report Allen grabbing handfuls of makeup without looking at the colors or labels. The employee said another woman entered the store with Allen and appeared to be distracting employees.

According to a police report, Allen entered a restroom just before an officer arrived and flushed the toilet about six or seven times. As Allen came out, the officer asked her for identification and asked to look in her purse.

Allen fumbled around inside her purse before taking out several different packages of eye shadow, the officer wrote in the report.

"As she pulled out the items, Allen would run her fingers through the tops of each one (attempting to make the eye shadow look used)," the officer said.

Allen then began cursing loudly, the officer said, that no one saw her steal anything.

The officer noted the approximate value of the makeup recovered from Allen's purse was $144.
