A woman and a child were shot Tuesday night on the city's South Side, according to Chicago Police.
The shooting happened around 9:10 p.m. in the 6400 block of S Martin Luther King Drive in the Parkway Gardens neighborhood, police confirmed.
The child was taken to Comer Children's Hospital with a gunshot wound to the face, police said. The woman, believed to be 28 years old, was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to the temple. Information on their conditions was not immediately available.
