Winds to Favor Home Runs at Wrigley Field Tuesday

Winds out of the southwest will be blowing northeast at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts of up to 20 mph possible by the evening hours

There’s some good news in the forecast for the Chicago Cubs Tuesday, but it could also be good news for the Dodgers as the teams prepare to face off in Game 3 of the NLCS.

With temperatures rising to unseasonably warm levels, it appears winds will be in favor of home runs at Wrigley Field for the pivotal game.

Winds out of the southwest will be blowing northeast at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts of up to 20 mph possible by the evening hours.

The conditions will be similar to last year’s first two home games during the NLCS, which saw both the Cubs and the Dodgers claim a victory.

The Cubs took Game 1 in 2016 with an 8-4 score and the Dodgers picked up a win in Game 2 with a score of just 1-0.

While the winds will be in favor of runs Tuesday, the Cubs will need some hits for Mother Nature to play her role.

The Dodgers currently lead the Cubs 2-0 heading into Game 3.

The weather conditions are expected to be similar for Game 4 in Chicago as well.
