Wilson Sporting Goods Moving Offices to Downtown Chicago

Wilson Sporting Goods says it's moving its corporate headquarters to downtown Chicago from the city's Northwest Side.

The Chicago Tribune reports the 102-year-old company's 400-employee workforce plans to move to Prudential Plaza in December 2017. Wilson President Mike Dowse says the company's lease was coming due and "it was an opportunity to decide where we want to be for the future."

Wilson signed a 12-year lease for two floors of the 41-story building in the Loop neighborhood. The move includes employees of Louisville Slugger and DeMarini brands and Finnish parent Amer Sports.

Wilson is the latest company to move to downtown Chicago from the suburbs, following businesses like McDonald's, Motorola Solutions, Kraft Heinz, Hillshire Brands and ConAgra.
