A pastor at a west suburban church was charged Saturday with sexually abusing a child at his church, according to the Kane County State's Attorney's office.
Ralphael J. Robinson, 39, is a pastor at Kingdom Church, located in the 100 block of South Lincolnway in North Aurora. Authorities allege that he sexually abused a victim under the age of 18 that he knew at the church on April 18.
He is charged with one felony count of criminal sexual assault and one felony count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to a release from the State's Attorney's office.
A warrant for his arrest was issued Friday, and Robinson surrendered later that day at the Aurora Police Department. Bail was set at $100,000.
If convicted, Robinson would face between four and 15 years in prison and would have to register on the Sexual Offender Registration.
He is expected to appear in court on April 28.
