Chicago-born actor Vince Vaughn is adding parachuter to his resume.

The star of  comedy classics “Wedding Crashers” and “Swingers” will parachute with the U.S Army Parachute Knights at this weekends 52ND Annual Chicago Air and Water Show.

Vaughn is making a tandem jump, meaning he’s hooked up to another jumper, from 12,500 feet in the air.

He’s not the first star to make the jump.  Two years ago Bill Murray – another homegrown actor –  made the leap.

Vaughn is currently in town filming his latest project “Dilemma,” with director Ron Howard.

The actor lands on North Avenue Beach at 11 a.m.  Saturday.
