It’s been eight years since South Side sisters Diamond and Tionda Bradley went missing without a trace and police are still searching. Their local community hasn't forgotten the girls either. Friends, neighbors and family members are now getting together to keep awareness about the girls alive.
A prayer vigil will be held for the girls at 6 p.m. Monday, at 35th Street and Cottage Grove, near where they used to live, WBBM reported.
Diamond, then 3-years-old, and Tionda, then 10, had left a note while their mother, Tracey Bradley, was at work, saying they were going to the store and the playground ABC 7 reported.
An extensive, years-long search has turned up no clues to their whereabouts.
According to America’s Most Wanted Web site, investigators have searched steel mills, thick woods, and the murky bottoms of small lakes and big ponds.
The official Web site for the missing girls - www.findtiondanddiamond.com- says, “Eight years is too long.” Since their disappearance on July 6, 2001, age enhanced images have been photo-generated.
A $30,000 award is offered for anyone who has information leading to the girls.
