Van Found, Minnesota Man Still Missing

Still no trace on Matthew Anderson who was allegedly kidnapped last week

Chicago Police found the van of a missing Minnesota man who told his wife he was kidnapped in downtown Chicago over the weekend.

There was no trace, however, of Matthew Anderson.

Spokeswoman for Ramsey County Minn. Sheriff, Holli Drinkwine, confirmed that the maroon minivan found downtown by Chicago Police belonged to Anderson.

According to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Anderson was last seen Friday afternoon at work in Roseville, Minn.  He called his wife around 7 p.m. saying he had been kidnapped by two men and believed they had taken him somewhere in Iowa.

KARE-11, an NBC affiliate from Minneapolis, reports authorities traced Anderson's cell phone to Wisconsin Dells, Wi.

Anderson's wife said she knew no reason why her husband would leave and "believes he is in peril," said Ramsey County Under sheriff George Altendorfer.

A nationwide missing-person alert was issued on Saturday.  Anderson is describes as white, 6-foot-3, 200 pound.  He wears glasses.
