2 Niles Officers, 2 Others Injured in Crash

Two police officers were injured Monday in a three-vehicle crash in north suburban Niles.

Four people, including two Niles police officers, were injured Monday night in what apparently was a chain-reaction crash.

The officers stopped at the intersection of Washington Street and Churchill Road in the north suburb when two other cars crashed at the intersection, sending the vehicles into driver's side of the squad car, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Police said the two officers and at least two other people from one of the other cars were taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
