A crash this morning involving three cars and six motorcycles left two dead in far west suburban Elburn.
The crash happened when a car in the southbound lanes of Rt. 47 was making a left onto Smith Rd. That car was hit from behind and sent into the path of a group of motorcycle riders heading north on Rt. 47.
In addition to the two deaths, six others were taken to area hospitals.
The two dead were on motorcycles according to Lt. Pat Gengler with the Kane County Sheriff's Department.
A witness on the scene says the group of riders were heading to Wisconsin for the weekend.
