Two people were taken to the hospital after two cars collided in an intersection

Two people were hurt in a crash early Sunday in the Chinatown neighborhood on the South Side.

The crash happened in the 2300 block of South Canal at about 1:15 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said, citing preliminary information.

Two cars collided in the intersection, Greer said. One person was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and another person was taken to Stroger Hospital.

Additional details were not immediately available.
