Two Found Dead in South Side Murder-Suicide

The bodies of a man and woman were discovered just before 8 p.m. in a home on the 7100 block of South Ingleside Avenue

Two people were found dead Wednesday evening in an apartment on Chicago's South Side in what police called a murder-suicide.

The bodies of a 28-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman were discovered just before 8 p.m. in a Grand Crossing neighborhood home on the 7100 block of South Ingleside Avenue. Their names were not publicly released by 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Neighbors of the victims told NBC Chicago's Regina Waldroup they believed the man fatally shot the woman before turning the gun on himself. The relationship between the two was not clear as of late Thursday morning.

The couple had recently moved to the area and police had been called to the home several times recently, neighbors said.
