Rogue Deer Hang Out in Busy Gold Coast Neighborhood

A couple of roaming deer turned several heads in the Gold Coast Thursday afternoon.

The animals were spotted near State and Division and attracted a crowd of curious onlookers taking pictures.

The deer remained calm, despite the attention they were receiving and roamed the area for several hours and attracting strange looks from Halloween trick or treaters.

One of the deer appeared to have an injured leg, and limped alongside his companion as they meandered into a residential courtyard and snacked on the greenery.

Animal Care and Control officers were brought in to tranquilize the animals in the evening, a process that took several attempts.
