Two Bank Robbers Strike Again

More hanky banky on the Red Line and in Norridge.

Two bank robbers wanted by the FBI for months have struck again — both on the same day.

The TCF Bandit is suspected in a holdup at a Charter One branch in suburban Norridge on Wednesday. The Red Line Robber is suspected in a robbery at a downtown branch of Chicago Community Bank.

Both bandits are wanted in a number of other bank robberies.

The FBI gives colorful names to bank robbers in hope of attracting help from the public in catching them.

The Red Line Robber got his name because he holds up banks near stations on the Chicago Transit Authority's Red Line.

No one was hurt in either incident.
