Twenty-six-year-old Joshua Miner has been described in testimony by a co-defendant as a ringleader in the Joliet slayings.
A Will County judge on Thursday set his trial date for Sept. 22. The Chicago Sun-Times reports it could be postponed if an evaluation of Miner's sanity at the time of the killings isn't complete.
Miner is charged with murder in the deaths of Terrance Rankins and Eric Glover, both 22.
A verdict in the trial of co-defendant Bethany McKee is expected at the end of this month. A third suspect is awaiting trial and another has pleaded guilty to robbery and concealment of a homicidal death.
